Who We Are Endometriosis Egypt

(Endo Egypt) is a non-profit organization community-driven initiative born out of a deep understanding of the struggles women face with endometriosis. We’re not just an organization; we’re a family. Our founders, along with our team and supporters, have either lived with endometriosis or walked alongside someone who has. This personal connection fuels our passion to create a safe, supportive space for every woman affected by this condition.

Our Vision

At Egypt Endo, we envision a world where endometriosis is comprehensively understood, diagnosed early, and managed effectively. We dream of a future where no woman suffers in silence, and every individual affected by this condition receives the care, support, and respect they deserve. We strive to lead the way in care, education, and awareness about this disease by:

Breaking the stigma surrounding endometriosis.

Challenging and changing beliefs and myths that perpetuate misunderstandings about the condition.

Ensuring early diagnosis and access to effective treatment.

Empowering patients to take control of their health and improve their quality of life. Together, we can create a community where endometriosis does not hinder a full, healthy, and happy life.

Our Story

Dr. Sayed Al-Akhras has dedicated decades to supporting women with endometriosis, a complex condition he describes as a “silent snake” due to its hidden impact. Recognizing the severe challenges posed by lack of awareness and an average 8-year diagnosis delay, he founded Endometriosis Egypt (Endo Egypt) to educate women and raise societal awareness. His goal is to empower a new generation to manage the condition effectively and reduce its prevalence. At Endo Egypt, we are committed to supporting women in silence, reducing stigma, and creating a society where every woman’s voice is heard and valued.
